Why are you building this?
There aren't any decentralized SQL solutions that enable the storage and querying of relational data. While there have been a couple attempts, we have yet to see any project try to build in any sort of utility / value add aside from it just being decentralized.
What are some of your favorite Arweave tools or protocols?
Viewblock, Bundlr. Not exactly a tool, but when people have asked me why I don't use other (cheaper) storage layer 1's for Kwil, the honest answer is the community. Way stronger than any other web3 data community, which has been the main source of our current success.
Why are you building on Arweave?
One of the hardest engineering challenges that previous Web3 SQL databases have faced is the issue of guaranteed data replication. By utilizing Arweave, we can ensure that every state-change that has occurred in a database is logged and the provenance of the state change is verifiable, even 10 years into the future.
Any advice for new founders entering the ecosystem?
Don't worry about having every minor detail ironed out. Football coaches don't plan out every play before the game even starts; your product, roadmap, and vision will change, and therefore the steps you take will change as well. Start by building a strong team and group of advisors, then swing for the fences.
